Hey everyone. It’s Deven and I’m coming at you with something new. Well it’s not all new. It’s the remixed version of my How To on Love Live Events.
So I’ve been looking into stuff more with my immenent return to Love Live and I wanted to share it with you. Some of it will be rehashed from the original guide but a lot of it will be new.
I know that there are fans of the blog that play both the Japanese and English versions of the game. I used to play only the English version but I need to help out people on both sides of the game.
So if you want to be an Event Master, you’ll need some tools first:
1.The Love Live School Idol Festival(Duh)
2.LLSIF Practice App
3.The Love Live LP Notifier App
4.A Cell Phone with Hotspot(if you don’t have consistent internet like with a phone or will be away from wifi for some time)
5.Guts and Determination!
Now in the original version I did this Token Events however this is going to be for all three types of Events, Token, Score Match, and Medley Festival.
So to know what kind of Events going to come up, English version users can check the Love Live School Idol Festival page on the Love Live Wiki or check out Love Live School Idol Festival Kouhi.me. They’ll be able to tell you what’s the event coming up and the event song. If you’re on the Japanese you’ll be screwed.
So now that we know the event song, we practice the week before. So that’s where the Practice app comes in.
So a lot of people say that the Practice app sucks and you should use another regions Love Live to practice. I disagree.
While the Practice app doesn’t have any way of showing you when you’re going wrong, it does have the benefit of letting you build up your muscle memory and visual memory for the notes and where they go. That allows you to perform better during the Event than if you went in cold.
So you practice for a week up until the event.
If the Event that happens to be next is a Score Match, you’ll need to optimize your team to the best it can be.
The Ultimate Combination of Idols: How To Make the Best Team
First off you need to know the types of teams:
Some of this are official names that the fandom uses and some are terms I use myself
1. Standard Color Teams
-Standard Color Teams are your standard Auto Formation Teams. They’ll pull together the 9 cards that you have in a color with the highest stat. So if you’re going for a Pure team, the Auto Formation will bring together the 9 highest ranked Pure Cards
2. Healer Teams
-Healer Teams are teams with cards that have skills to restore stamina. Typically with Rare cards, it’s the Pure cards that typically get stamina boosting skills. However any UR or SR has the potential to have this ability. You typically use these teams if you’re not that good at Rhythm games so you can use the Stamina boosting to hold on.
3. Perfect Lock Teams
-Perfect Lock Teams are teams with cards that have skills to ease the timing window for hitting the notes. To get this ability you’ll need SR or UR cards because no Rares have this ability. You typically use these teams if you can hold on and end the song but you can’t get a high level combo so you use this team to get that combo.
4. Score Booster Teams
-Score Booste Teams are teams with cards that have skills that boost your score if you hit a certain amount of Perfects or certain amount of combos. A lot of cards have this ability so it’s pretty easy to make this team.
For Token Events, you’ll typically need a Perfect Lock Team to maximize your combo so you can get the highest amount of combos to get the most Tokens. That’s to get the Tokens. For the Event Song, you need a Score Booster Team combined with a Perfect Lock Team to get the highest amount for your rank and your combo.
For Score Matches, you’ll need to a Score Booster Team to push your score up as high as possible.
So now it’s time for the event. Now this works for all the events in terms of the LP.
So look at this.
There are 24 hours in a day and LP refills at 10 LP per hour.
24 hours x 10 LP per hour = 240 LP
Now at this point it depends on skill. You can choose to be more efficient and play the Expert songs or play the Hard Songs. I’ll do the Expert Songs example for sake of explaining the best way to go about it.
240 LP / 25 per Expert Play = 9.6 Expert Plays
So the LP you get over the course of one day allows you to play the Expert songs at least 9 times. Of course to make sure that you truly efficient and spend that LP as soon as you refill you need a good and constant internet connection.
If you’re at a University then you’ll be fine. However for those of us that don’t have good consistent internet you’ll have to have a cell phone with a hot spot to make sure your internet’s with you always.
So also note this. During a Token Event, the amount of tokens you get depends on the song’s difficulty and the song’s LP cost:
Easy: 5 Tokens
Normal: 10 Tokens
Hard :16 Tokens
Expert 27 Tokens
That leads to this:
9.6 Expert Plays x 27 tokens per Expert Play = 259.2 tokens
So now you have hefty amount of tokens so you play the Hard version of the song.
259.2 tokens / 45 per Hard Event Play = 5.76 Hard Event Plays
And you can play it about 5 times in one day.
And this is how much Event points you can get.
5.76 Hard Event Play x 230 points average per Hard Event Play = 1324.8
And plus the Event points you got from doing the songs.
1324.8 + 259.2 = 1584 Event points
These numbers are consistent through all normal Events and the average cap for getting the Event Card is around 15,000 I believe.
I think that you should be getting the card around the 6th or the 7th day of the event. Mostly because we aren’t even counting the times that you level up.
I think that you should be getting the card around the 6th or the 7th day of the event. Mostly because we aren’t even counting the times that you level up.
So now you’ve gotten your SR Maki, Eli, or which ever card you like. I bet you want to idolize it too. Of course you do.
So I’ll be telling you how to get the full power of those lovely little cards.
Note: This will be put into my own words from a Guide on Reddit that I will link below.
1. Be ready to spend some Love Gems.
Now there are calculators and Event Cutoff Predictors for both the English and Japanese versions. The Japanese version is better because it’s done more events. However the English does okay.
That being said, you’ll need to be willing to use at least 10-12 Love gems for Tier 2(One more Event Card to Idolize) and 15-17 Love Gems for Tier 1(Two more Event cards)
2. Don’t Look at the Ladder Rank until two days before the end of the event.
Looking at the ladder is only going to make you panic. Take your time and follow the guide above to a tee. Also the main reason if not looking until this point is with two days left, the Event Predictor is going to be far more accurate so you can work towards a visible goal now. So you need to play and use your Love Gems accordingly.
3. Check every two hours on the last two days to make sure that you’re at least 1200 points above the cutoff
Now this point you should be in the tier you want but now you have to fight to stay there. Especially in the last 30 minutes before the end.
4. Run down those Love Gems to stay 1200 ahead of the game.
Why? Because according to those dudes at Reddit, the cutoff has never jumped more than 1200 points during the last 30 minutes so you’ll be safe.
I’ll even show you the breakdown:
7 25 LP songs = 7 x 27 tokens = 189 tokens
180 tokens = 1 4x Hard Play = Max 932 event points
932 + 189 = 1121 event points
So you see. You’ll be safe.
So that should be it. If you follow this guide, you have a high if not guaranteed SR Event Card in your possession.
Next Few Event Cards
So I’m going to show what the next 5 cards going be for the next few events and you see what they are and if you want to go for them.

Thanks for writing this guide, its quite easy to understand, and answers some specific questions I had on my mind. One question though, does it matter what rank/level I am?

October 13, 2014 at 9:09 pm
No it doesn’t actually. All a high rank/level does is allow you to do a song multiple times in a single LP session. For example, I have 39 LP at the moment. So I can do the Expert song once then wait for my LP to go up one more then do a Hard song to go back down to zero. It’s all about using LP to get the most Tokens for one song.
A person at level one however can just do the Expert song once and then have to wait until their LP refills. They’ll still get 240 LP out of the day. They’ll just be waiting longer for it.

I know that the last few days of the event you can pay double the tokens to get a bigger boost than just playing the regular hard/normal modes. Is is better to grind slowly throughout the festival and then try to grind it out at the last few days, or is is better to save all your tokens for the last few days of the festival to spend them on the double-cost event song then? I’d really like to try to idolize this card for this event since I really adore the art, but I’m worried I might not be spending my tokens widely. ;-;

Both work actually. However the second one means no sleep for you and we all love sleep. The best way is to go through the event normal but during the last few days save up those tokens to do those double songs

Does this approach also work for the Japanese version of the game? I know there are more players in that version, so would you need to spend more love gems to get to the top? If it’s different, are there any other guides you’d reccomend along with yours?

No it’s the same. The one difference would be popularity. Some idols are more popular in the Japanese version than the English and that changes up the amount of Love Gems you need to get your preferred tier. The general truth is Maki events are harder because Maki’s the most popular in both versions

Hi! I know it has been a while since you posted this. On the current Umi event I have just gotten her, but I would like to idolize her, but I don’t quite understand “step 3” 3. Check every two hours on the last two days to make sure that you’re at least 1200 points above the cutoff
I don’t quite get what the “cutoff” is and is it 1200 event points? And should I wait for the last two days? (Sorry english isn’t my first language) my current rank is around 2200 is that to low maybe?
I’m sorry for the trouble!

Its 1200 event points. Tier 1 is rank 1 to 200 to get two more event cards. Tier 2 is to get one more. If you look Twitter or Love Live School Idol Festival you can find an event cutoff for the tiers. The cutoff is the minimum amount of points you need to get into the tier. Being 1200 points above the cutoff before the event ends makes sure that you don’t lose your spot in chosen tier.

Hi, I want to ask. How can I farm many UR card?
LikeLike
February 17, 2015 at 9:25 pm
You can’t. There’s no way to manipulate the random number generator for this game. The best way to get an UR card is luck and having a lot of Love Gems during a Guaranteed SR/UR Week. Those typically happen the week between events.
There is a way for new players to do it. You start an account and the game gives you 3 Love Gems per day for your first week and that adds to 21. Then you idolize the normals. Then you do your roll. If you don’t get what you want, start all over again.

What is the best team to get the high score in score match?

March 5, 2015 at 5:06 am
There is no such thing as a true best team. A good score on a Score Match relies on a lot of factors like your team, your combo during the match, the combos of the opponents, their cards, and their abilities. There’s no one sure fire way to win consistently.
If there was it would be to have a lot of Super Rare and Ultra Rare cards with score boosting abilities.

I’d say the best way to succeed in a score match is to:
1. Save up LOTS of Love Gems, scout for tons of UR, R, and SR cards much time before the score match. (Make sure to get teams of ALL attributes: you want your teams to be strong!!)
2. Idolize, max bond, and practice a lot with all of your cards of all attributes to their max potential. (Or you could focus on one attribute at a time)
3. Practice and perfect all the songs that you have on all levels to get “Perfects” every time.
4. When the score match comes, PICK THE TEAM THAT MATCHES THE SONG ATTRIBUTE. I cannot stress this enough. It is really important to choose the right team with the right cards because it will
1. Raise your rank on the song
2. Increase your score (REALLY IMPORTANT)
3. Land you at a better chance of first or second place
Also, NEVER EVER do Expert unless you can get an A rank everytime and can score Perfects everytime on a song. If you screw up on the song, you will waste your LP, and may have to sacrifice a Love Gem (Which is REALLY REALLY HARD to earn)
I hope this helped you!

I’m level 33 at the moment, does this mean that I just need to use 25lp and never let my Lp fully recharge? And if may ask how many love gems should I use a day? Should I spend it all at the last 2 days or there’s a number of love gems we need to use per day?
Thanks for the guidr anyway, gave me a hope that I can reach T2

You should always let your LP fully recharge. As for how many love gems you should use in a day that depends on you. If you can get a consistent amount with each session, you can determine how many love gems you need. For example, I know that I get 600 points each time my LP refills but it takes my LP 3 hours to refill. The 2nd tier is 1800 points away and the event ends two hours. I should use 4 Love Gems so not to waste extra for the next event. That will get me the required amount for 2nd tier as well as some to make sure that I don’t get knocked out by others.

In score matches, i can easily got 1st place in normal mode. but in hard mode, i fall behind the 3rd or 4th place due to the lack of SR UR cards
So which one do you think the best mode, normal or hard?
LikeLiked by 1 person

Depends on your ability. Like you said your best mode is normal so you should play in Normal mode as much as you can. However going only normal mode would fail to net you the SR so you should mix it up. You can exit the app during Score Matches in order to reset your song. That way you can always get the hard song you do best at.

Hello! Sorry for being off topic, but I can’t find an answer to this question.
Do the more members you put into practice slots at once increase your chances for a higher success rate? I don’t know if a.) practicing each unneeded card one at a time or b.) waiting until I have at least 10, then practicing will raise my chances for more exp.
