Let’s go!

Spirits. Different life forms that exist in a critical space and cause peculiar disasters.

Strategy 1: Annihilate them by military force.
Strategy 2: Date them and make them fall in love.

Let’s get down to the main review.

Art

The art style continues to be well done in my opinion. Although I want to call attention to Kurumi and Origami’s Spirit dresses. The pure white of Origami’s Spirit Form is almost dazzling in its beauty. And as for Kurumi, J.C. Staff knows who makes the money here. They wouldn’t dare let Kurumi look anything less than amazing.

Story

The Origami arc is in full swing here and I enjoy it. This arc shows Origami as a character and what her flaws are. I do have to admit that she was in a corner with regards to the job from DEM but ultimately she chose to take it. Which led down to her path where she is now. Origami’s suffering is all of her own doing. She gave up her friendship with all of the Spirits and Shido because she couldn’t stand the thought of getting soft and actually accepting the Spirits as people. She chose to take the Sephira Crystal from Phantom. And in the end, her choices led her to realize that she was the Spirit that changed her life for the worse.

Now in my opinion, Origami’s character arc hasn’t done anything bad. If anything’s it’s gotten better. Going back on what one has done is very realistic. In addition the shock of what Origami’s done is massive, since the events of that happened 5 years ago have made her a quiet, angry, frustrated and single minded person and the horrible part which leads to her Inversion was everything that made her who she is today was all her fault.

I could talk about the other characters but ultimately Origami is pushing the action forward so it wouldn’t be much point to talk about the others right now.

Characters

Origami

Origami is probably one of my favorite characters other than probably Miku. I love the fact that the gravity of what she’s done has shook her to the core in such a way that she’s inversed. Not only just inversed but inversed to the point where she cannot be reached. The light in her eyes is gone and she’s no more than a vessel for her Demon King to wreck havoc on the world because of her pain.
