See I know why they did it. That doesn’t make me any more happy though. I’m sick of the censoring! Where is the nude yuri implications of Erza and Kyoka!!!
Will Deven finally be able to catch up with his reviews? Find out soon!!!
So we start off this episode with Erza and Mirjane arriving at Crawford Theme(I’m willing to say Theme here rather than Seam but don’t think it’s going to be a common thing) place.
They explain the situation about Tartarus and he invites them to have some tea.
She totally was about to say parfum right there. You’ve been hanging out with Ichiya too much Erza.
Mirajane asks about Face and the identity of the three members protecting its activation with their lives via the Link Magic. However he doesn’t know, saying that Face was supposed to be a scrapped weapon.
He’s totally useless…
But then Tartarus soldiers come in to attack but Erza and Mira go in on them.
Ah the beauty of two beautiful women fighting together. No greater art.
We switch over for a bit to Sayla and Elfman and Lisanna. Looks like Lisanna can’t hold out much longer and Elfman’s starting to beg. Oh Sayla has ideas.
I’d sell my soul to her. Not for anything in particular just because she’s so good looking. You’ve got to give props to Aki Toyosaki in this scene. Her voice gives the right combination of sinster and sexy at the same time.
Then we go over to Oracion Seis who were released after Cobra coughed up some information about Tartarus. However who’s waiting there for them?
Looks like Doranbolt is hedging his bets. Also Brain’s been killed by Cobra. He ain’t about trusting those traitors. Jellal gets into a fight against the members of Oracion Seis in order to show them what real freedom is.
Then we switch back to the battle against the Tartarus soldiers where we see Erza and Mira pass out. Turns out that the former chairman drugged the tea and he’s handing them over to Tartarus. The little traitor!
Once Erza wakes up she’s in jail in the Tartarus base, unfortunately fully clothed, where she is tortured for information on Jellal’s whereabouts by Kyoka. She knows that Erza has no clue where Jellal is. She just loves to torture people.
I like this scene. Ai Kayano being all sexy torturous with Sayaka Ohara…I’m all red with the yuri implications.
After that we switch over to Franmalth and Crawford walking through the Tartarus base, talking about how no one’s going to ever find them and what’s going to happen in the future.
Then Natsu who figured out something was up comes crashing through the window, ready to fight!
And the episode ends there.
I can’t wait for the next episode.
So until the next episode,

I read it in the manga and it makes just as little sense here. They even had the music like he died and Carla was crying! Mashima if you’re going to try to kill someone do it right!
So we start off with the end of Natsu vs. Jackal.
Jackal gets his butt and handed to him by Natsu and he even goes full out Etherious form and still meets the business end of Natsu’s fist courtesy of Lightning Flame Dragon’s Firing Hammer.
So Jackal’s beaten but he’s a sore loser so he’s going to blow up the entire city. Happy tries to take him into the sky to save the city but Jackal goes boom and Happy dies.
Or that’s what they want you to think. He’s fine…
He got caught in an explosion that would destroy the entire city and all he got was his hair messed up…
I’m not going to touch any of that.
So we head over to the rest of the Fairy Tail members where we see that they weren’t as lucky as Natsu, Lucy, and Wendy. All the council members they went to are dead.
Now I want to talk about Elfman and Lisanna because they actually meet a member of Tartarus, Sayla(I dare anyone to correct me. It’s Sayla! Not Seliah!) is there and she makes Elfman choke Lisanna. Ah the sweet irony. He thought he killed his sister now he really is going to kill his sister. Circle is now complete.
What do you have to say you beautiful demoness?
Well said Ms. Sexy Demoness.
Then we go back to Natsu and friends where that loser Michello explains that Tartarus is after Face, a Magic Pulse Bomb that can could get rid of all magic on the continent.
The weapon can only be activated by killing three former council members which explains why Tartarus has been going around killing former members. So only the former chairman knows who these people are and so Fairy Tail sends their two most reliable members.
Now ye fierce resplendent fairies, sing ye Tartarus its requiem!!
I’ve seen a lot of Mirajane vs. Erza videos but people never talk about if they worked together. Too epic.
So that’s all we’ve got here. I can’t wait until the next episode.
So until the next episode,

I knew the little guy was a bastard from the manga but it just feels so much more real in the anime
We start off with a long recap of everything up until that point and then we get into the action.
It starts with Jackal just blowing up a lot of the town just because he could. But Natsu isn’t having that right now so Natsu goes in and starts wailing on Jackal
That’s all good but Jackal has a little ability that makes it a little bad to touch him.
And then Natsu goes boom.
And while this is happening Michello is scared that Tartarus might be after Face and he runs away.
Jackal gets into a fight with Lucy and Wendy but his Explosion Curse is just too good for defense and blocks all of their attacks.
With Natsu down, Wendy stays to heal him while Lucy goes into the town to stop Jackal and save Michello.
Then we switch over to Michello and he’s demanding help from the villagers because he was protecting them as a council member.
Then Jackal shows up and Michello says all he wanted to do was live in peace with his granddaughter…which he left behind for said mad bomber to potentially blow up.
Even Jackal admits that’s a low move and he’s a demon.
Real loving grandfather right there…
So Lucy catches up but she’s quickly put into a curse mark by Jackal.
And Jackal picks up Michello along with a pregnant woman and says basically choose who lives and who dies.
Now I read Fairy Tail on Mangastream which has a comments section after each chapter and I clearly remember all the hate for Lucy after this chapter. She should have chosen someone rather than just freeze up right there.
She’s torn right now. She’s thinking about her responsibility to her job and the world by figuring out what Tartarus is up to for that she needs to save Michello. But she’s also a human being and Lucy wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if she let a pregnant woman die.
Then again most of those comments for Michello to die came from this…
I’d let his butt die too.
Luckily Lucy doesn’t have to make that decision since Natsu, healed up by Wendy, shows up and teaches Jackal lesson to the face.
And his little explosion when you touch him trick is nullified since Natsu managed to eat it.
And with that the episode ends there. We’ve got ourselves a good turn out. I’m loving the Tartarus arc but I can’t wait until we get to Mirajane and Erza. Those two were always meant to fight together.
But that’s for later.
So until the next episode,

(Inner Writer: You missed a lot of Fairy Tail reviews. What were you doing?!
Deven: Fairy Tail reviews? Why this is the first I have heard of this? Did something happen?
Inner Writer: You know exactly what happened? You-
Deven knocks out the Inner Writer and looks directly at the readers.
Deven: What Fairy Tail Reviews? Then you all say “I have no idea what you’re talking about Deven.” And we all move on. Got it? Alright. Let’s start.)
So ignoring that little thing, I’m back to regular with my reviews. Sorry for the lapse. Finals are hell. So after the events of the Sun Village arc, all you need to know is that Sun Village is saved.
Side Note: You kinda expected it with the Song of the Fairies episode but I’m still shocked that they changed it. For those that didn’t know or didn’t read the manga, most of the chapter was done in a hot spring. It was very fanservicey and even Mashima himself said that he went too far. Remember that time where Natsu accidentally beat Erza to the ground. It was the same in the manga save Erza was naked. Naked hot girl with her butt up in the air like that equals very large implications.
But anyway…And that the Nine Demon Gates have been introduced.
They are as follows:
Silver the Absolute Zero
Kyoka, Goddess of the Slave Planet
Evil Utaha-senpai!!! I always knew it was wise to be on Team Kato and now I have full proof. She turned evil! The joke is that Utaha and Kyoka both have Ai Kayano as their seiyuu.
Also I have some annoyances with how they translated her title. The Mangastream translated it as “Slave Star Angel” which I like a lot more than “Goddess of the Slave Planet”
Her voice is still as sexy as nothing I can imagine.
Franmalth, the Armored.
Good voice and it fits. His title is similar to the Mangastream one which was the Armored Shell.
Torafuzar, the Dark
Excellently done voice and the title is pretty much the same. He went from being the Darkness to the Dark. Not much of a change.
Ezel, the Dojigiri
I’m kinda happy that they didn’t translate it because it would be a major spoiler for the arc. But the Mangastream translation was Child Slicer…and the only major character who’s a child in this manga is Wendy. Fight confirmed!
Seilah, the Goddess of the Chill Moon
Nooo! I will not accept this as the official translation! It’s Sayla and that’s what I’m going to say in my reviews! Also another beautiful voice. Aki Toyosaki, your voice is like gold! Also I can’t wait for that scene…ah Ai Kayano and Aki Toyosaki…I can’t wait for the implications of it.
Finally Keyes, the Black Archbishop.
I can deal with the title change from Black Priest to Black Archbishop. The voice…ahahahah oh god it hurts. The comedy in this is too much. He’s voiced by Joji Nakata or Kirei Kotomine.
So Kotomine went from being an evil priest…to an evil demon priest…I see this more as a lateral move not much of a change.
We also have Jackal but that’s for later.
Now you’re caught up. Let’s get up to this week’s episode.
The battle between Laxus and Tempesta of the Nine Demon Gates starts and…it’s over really quick.
Maybe this arc is going to be easy, said by no one that read the manga.
However Tempesta’s got some tricks up his sleeves…he has no sleeves…he’s got tricks up something darn it!
Tempesta turns into anti-Ethernano particles which are an absolute poison to wizards. It leaves Yajima, Evergreen, Freed, Bickslow, and even Laxus on the ground coughing and nearly dead. All while Tempesta gets go to back to HQ.
So in order to save the townspeople Laxus uses his Dragon Slayer lungs to breath in the poison. He orders Freed to bring everyone back to Fairy Tail.
We get the rundown of the situation and we learn that even though Laxus put everything into saving everyone the number of people affected by the Anti-Ethernano Particles is still rising. 119 are confirmed dead.
And with so many member of Fairy Tail down Natsu says only one thing.
Sounded much cooler the first time he did it back in the Phantom Lord Arc but now it seems too overused to me.
So after the commercial everyone and their granny is trying to stop Natsu from running off and trying to find Tartarus. Mostly because they have no idea where they are.
Then we move to the Tartarus guild hall where we see Tempesta getting healed but we also see this.
She’s becoming a demon! Do you really want to beat Erza that bad?
So after we get back from Tartarus we see that Loke’s back and he’s got info. The best plan for right now seeing as the Council members, present and past are being attack is to guard them. Luckily Loke’s got some addresses of former members.
We all know what he was doing. Council members with hot daughters or granddaughters with Loke!
Loke tried to stop being a player but it just doesn’t take for very long.
So we head over to Michello’s house where Lucy, Natsu, Wendy, Happy, and Carla are protecting him. And we see his granddaughter who is quite cute.
Good man Loke. Leave no female unflirted with.
She has to admit that my man is a legend.
So Natsu smells something off and tells everyone to get down only to find Jackal here, ready to kill Michello.
Good ending but I wish they used the Mangastream line. “It’s time to start putting Tartarus in body bags.” So epically cool but this one works too.
So that’s all we’ve got with this review. I can’t wait for the epicness that is Natsu vs. Jackal.
So until then,

Aw it’s over. Koufuku Graffiti was a ride and then some. I’m going to miss it but I’m kinda happy that I don’t need to make sure that I ate before I sit down for a reviewing session.
So we start the episode with this.
Eh? Aren’t you both worried about getting to high school?
But it turns out that what they’re saying is a play on words in Japanese. What they’re saying is a phrase that’s similar to their numbers on the board to see who got in.
Kirin’s 296 and Ryo’s 530.
Both numbers are up there! That means that they passed!
Alright! One year of hard work paid off!
So what is Kirin going to do? She lives like out in Hiroshima. How’s that commute going to work?
From what money that you have?
So after Ryo finishes up a call, the girls look a cherry blossom tree that has its first buds blooming but that’s not the thing you should look at it.
You have her in the last episode but that’s it! No Yuuki no Life!
So after the opening, we get this.
So she didn’t tell her parents? What a smart move. Clearly ready for high school right there.
Turns out that Kirin’s just over-exaggerating and it looks like her Dad’s right along with her. He’s going on and how she’s growing up and soon she’ll be graduating, getting a job, and getting married.
I’m not sure anyone would want to touch her like that. She looks like a little girl in a wedding dress. The guy that marries her would look like a lolicon.
Meanwhile Kirin’s mom is snarking that he took Kirin’s side so he shouldn’t be sad.
But Kirin promises that she’ll be back to help in the fields when they need her. Nice but they go all over the top with it.
Being Kirin’s mother is suffering.
Then we switch over to Ryo’s who’s getting ready for her last day of school, reminiscing that her uniform used to be all baggy on her and it’s snug.
Maybe too snug.
Yeah maybe all that heavy eating you’v been doing over the last year had something to do with it.
After managing to stuff herself into her skirt, Ryo prays to her grandma to tell her that she’s leaving for her graduation.
After that Ryo has a small monologue about how things have changed and the meal that her grandma made after her entrance ceremony
Aww that’s so sweet but you what’d be funny? Her stomach growling.
Best friends ignore the embarrassing parts of you.
So then Ryo gets called up for her diploma but unfortunately Akira can’t be there so there’s no one to watch her or is there…
That was unexpected. So turns out Kirin’s graduation was two days ago so she decided to come to Ryo’s graduation.
So after a little teasing about her growling stomach, Ryo’s friends from school come in and Ryo explains that they passed too so they’ll all be going to the same school.
After that we head home with Kirin and Ryo with them carrying a bit of food for some celebrating!
Unfortunately Kirin forgot her luggage at the station in a coin locker so she goes back to get it leaving Ryo alone to cook.
Burglar!
That’s what you get Akira!
So we go into the house where Akira apologizes for not being there enough for Ryo but says that she’s there when it counts and that’s most important.
And nothing proves that better than this gift.
That apron was Ryo’s grandmother. Apparently Ryo’s grandmother expected her death and gave the apron to Akira to give to Ryo when she graduated middle school.
It’s official that Ryo’s grandma is the most awesome lady to ever take care of a child. She knew she was going to die so she took steps to make something for her granddaughter.
So after that Akira’s got to go back to work and after that Ryo jumps into the kitchen to make the best meal that she can with her grandma’s apron!
It even has that yellowtail that she made in the first episode but it didn’t taste good to her.
I have a feeling that it’s going to be great this time around Ryo.
Once she finishes up, she takes a bit of the yellowtail.
So cute but to her it doesn’t taste like the yellowtail her grandma made.
Then Kirin comes in all her stuff.
You’re moving in Kirin not conquering the place.
After that it’s time for dinner and while Kirin’s there, Ryo notices that the food tastes so much better with Kirin there.
So after dinner, Ryo explains that her apron is a gift from her grandma that Akira kept. Kirin says that even though her grandma is dead she’s still making memories with her with that apron.
So sweet of you Kirin.
So apparently Kirin has a low awesome stat because in the next scene’s already going to sleep while Ryo sends prayers to her grandma, thaking her for the things she’s taught her.
Aww after Kirin talks about eating all of Ryo’s cooking everyday.
So the next day Kirin tells Ryo that she’ll be moving in and the movers are going to be there soon.
After that we get more Shiina and apparently she knew too…Ryo’s sad. It’s tough to be the only one that didn’t know.
And she brought food!
So they go outside the girls see that Kirin’s mom and dad are there to help with the move. Akira joins in too but no one even told Ryo that Kirin’s moving in.
When were they going to say something? After Kirin got everything all straighten out in her room?
Despite that Ryo isn’t mad and she’s just happy to be living with Ryo.
And after that we have a montage of some of Ryo’s memories, growing up, and losing her grandma. She was so alone but now her house is so full of people.
That’s so sweet. I love how this anime ends.
And with that Kirin’s mom makes her apparently signature vegetable stir fry and the whole group eats it with Shiina’s sandwiches.
Everyone digs in!
As they start eating, Ryo says that she wants to invite Yuuki from downstairs and Kirin goes to join her, saying that she looks forward to living with her.
And with that Koufuku Graffiti ends.
My thoughts
Ah the feel good anime of the Winter Anime Season. I loved the entire ride that Koufuku Graffiti took me on. The cuteness, the food, and the interactions of the characters were all spot on.
Only thing I didn’t like was that Yuuki Uchiki was introduced way too late for her to have much impact on the plot. She’s supposed to figure in a lot more during part two of the manga but she’s basically a minor character here. Sad…
So I’m giving Koufuku Graffiti a 9.5 out of 10. This is definitely one of those relax in the warmth and just relax animes. Just make sure you eat before you watch it!
So with that and Isuca Episode 10 being reviewed, my Winter Anime Season is over.
Now it’s time to move onto Spring. I just want to say right now that the reviews for all the season openings will be out on Tuesday or Wednesday mostly because I’m going to get them in 1080p quality and have the pics in PNG form. That takes time but trust me it’s going to be worth the wait.
So until the beginning of the Spring Season,

One more episode until the finale…although I’m writing this after I’ve seen the finale so it’s kinda of a moot point. No hype is left…
Side Note: Like the Oreimo reference
So we open up with Isuca in some type of tank getting healed. You remember those tanks from Dragonball Z where if you just sat in them for some time you’d be alright it’s probably like that.
So Isuca’s ticked off that she lost to Sakuya and she swears to kill her.
So after the opening we have this.
Alright who brought the marshmellows? Nobody? Selfish?
So we go to the group back at Sakuya’s house and Nadeshiko explains that four churches have been burned down over the last few nights but that’s the biggest problem.
Meaning that whoever did this trying to weaken the city spiritually so something can be done. Is it Isuca? Nah it’s that guy that was healing.
Whatever it is that they said, it ticks Sakuya off. She’s probably suspecting what I’m thinking. That Isuca is her sister!
Cue Dramatic music
After all the odds of someone having the same true name as you is low as throwing a rock off a bridge and having it land in a cup in a boat. It’s technically possible but highly unlikely.
Or for an analogy that others can understand. It’s the same thing has being able to get a 5 IV Shiny Latias with Hidden Power Fire. It’s technically possibility but so rare it’s impossible without help.
So Sakuya leaves and goes to the archery range to practice. Of course Shin goes to see what’s up and gets this for his trouble.
That’s why you don’t mess with someone that’s using a bow.
So Shin’s wondering if Isuca’s having an effect on Sakuya. Will she release the seal on the bow again to beat her?
We don’t know yet. So we go to the next day and Shin meets up with Suseri and goes up with her.
And while they walk home, Shin asks Suseri about the true name thing and the odds that someone can have the same true name as another person.
But the odds that two people will connect to the same name are odd.
So we get back home and everyone’s getting ready to defend the last church. If this one falls Yokohama is going to be spiritually defenseless. Who know what will happen? Evil monsters getting through? Magic beyond limits being cast?
So we need all hands on deck…except Sakuya. She’s on back up. She’s too emotionally involved in this to make a good decision plus her Spirit Bow is out of the game.
So Tamako will take the raid position while Suseri and Shin are on offense. Let’s hope that they can get a win.
But Sakuya’s against it. Mostly because she’s scared that he’ll die. She definitely felt how mortal he was back in the subway with the smoke spirit. But Shin manages to reassure her.
So we move to the church where we get Isuca and we see that her arm’s back.
The team tries to beat Isuca but no dice. Isuca gets the drop on Shin and gives him a bite while the church is burned down.
Now Yokohama is wide open for attack. Who’s going to make their move?
So the next day we get this little girl at the door.
Aw ain’t she cute? I can just fold her up in my pocket and keep her there.
Eh? EEEEH? How?! She looks like she’s in middle school at the latest?! How damn it! How!?
So why is she here other than to troll the crap out of everyone that doesn’t know about this?
Oh that’s easy.
But at least she understands why she acted the way she did since they’re facing the Asahina.
Asahina…Suzuka? They’re fighting the characters from the Suzuka manga? Yeah…I know bad joke. Let’s get back to it then.
But the main reason why Sakuya’s so troubled…the Asahina are her father’s family.
So after Nami the Grandma Loli the group throws around the idea that Isuca isn’t a human but a homoculus. It’s a type of human made by alchemy and it’s the speciality of the Asahina family.
Apparently everyone was thinking that just because Sakuya’s father married in Shimazu things would be all cool and nice. Wrong. He just was bidding his time…for pure evil!
Anyway it gets to the point that Sakuya wants to know about her parents. The truth is too much for Sakuya to know.
But Sakuya’s grandma takes Shin to talk about things. They talk about if Shin is willing to stick with Sakuya even though it’d hard and getting harder every day. Of course he says yeah.
Aw this sounds like a grandma talking to her future grandson in law.
We need some excitment.
Killed the Loli! You bastards!
Damn it Shin! Can’t do anything right! Protect the Loli at all costs!
So now Isuca’s killed Nami it’s time to do a summoning.
Well…that’s a big snake.
Looks like they destroyed all the churchs in Yokohama just so Isuca could summon this thing.
Now it’s getting serious and the battle against the snake ain’t going good for Nadeshiko, Suseri, Matsuri, and Tamako.
At the same time, it’s Sakuya vs. Isuca!
Apparently Nami’s alive. That loli body is just a puppet body. Thank God the Loli’s safe!
But now it’s the final battle between Sakuya and Isuca and things aren’t going well for Sakuya.
And the episode ends with this.
Well yeah…I wouldn’t say I lost interest but I’m not that motivated. I’m more eager for the Spring Season to start but I’ll stick to the end of this series and deliver the final review.
So until the next review,
